MY CREATIVE ACT
Nasci numa quinta rodeada de campos onde vivi até aos 16 anos. Isso influenciou-me profundamente. Depois, passei alguns anos em Coimbra onde comecei o meu contacto com a Arte, a pintura e o desenho, no Círculo de Artes Plásticas. Aos 23 anos vim para Lisboa, onde vivo há muitos anos e onde estudei Pintura na Faculdade de Belas Artes. O meu processo criativo teve várias fases. foi evoluindo para um registo que se tornou cada vez mais abstrato, embora mantendo a base de subjetivismo, improvisação e um certo bucolismo onde surgem muitas vezes brumas. Tem ainda caraterísticas do romantismo na sua liberdade de expressão, valorização da imaginação e fascínio pela emoção e fantasia e ainda a exaltação da Natureza.
´Não escolho temas. Deixo fluir e surpreendo-me com o que encontro. Assim, deixo a quem observa a minha pintura, toda a liberdade de interpretação.

I was born on a farm surrounded by fields where I lived until I was 16 years old. That influenced me deeply. Afterwards, I spent a few years in Coimbra where I began my contact with Art, painting and drawing, at the Círculo de Artes Plásticas. At the age of 23 I came to Lisbon, where I have lived for many years and where I studied Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts. My creative process had several phases. It evolved towards a register that became increasingly abstract, although maintaining the basis of subjectivism, improvisation and a certain bucolicism where mists often arise. It also has characteristics of romanticism in its freedom of expression, appreciation of imagination and fascination with emotion and fantasy and the exaltation of Nature.
'I don't choose themes. I let it flow and am surprised by what I find. Thus, I leave anyone who observes my painting freedom of interpretation.
